Amber Guidry Joins GeoAcuity as a GIS Analyst
GeoAcuity is excited to welcome our newest GIS Analyst Amber Guidry! She’ll be working onsite in Baton Rouge, LA with the Louisiana Department Of Transportation and Development (LADOTD), where she will apply her GIS knowledge to support the development and improvement of transportation infrastructure across Louisiana.
Amber graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) with a B.A. in Geography, concentrating in GIS and Climatology. While at LSU, she collaborated with professors on research regarding extracting and digitizing geographic data on precipitation during stalled hurricanes.
Prior to joining GeoAcuity, Amber gained valuable experience in the oil and gas industry, where she created GIS solutions for clients through mapping the locations of wells, drafting regulatory-compliant permits, and maintaining up-to-date geodatabases.
Amber is eager to expand her knowledge of geospatial data collection and aerial photography as she takes on new and advanced GIS challenges. We’re excited to see her continue to grow and contribute to the success of both GeoAcuity and LADOTD!
